Bottom and top sides of the cruciform box engraved respectively with the Virgin (or female saint) holding a tablet with monogram of Jesus and a bishop holding a burning heart pierced by an arrow. Hours in Arabic numerals. Compass rose, 4 points, labeled in Latin abbreviations. Compass with original blued needle, type 16. Bone fragments of 4 saints secured in each cross arm by strands of pearls and gold filigree. Parchment strip labels each relic. Bones purported to be of St. Sabina, St. Ursula, St. Walburga, and (less legibly) St. Ignatius of Antioch.
