Supercomputer Drawinx

Nayoungim and Gregory Maass have illustrated Cray computers (supercomputers) on graph paper with a pen. The manual drawing of a supercomputer, a state-of-the-art technology, is an attempt to bring technological power back to the boundaries of humankind. Though the graph paper provides the ordered infrastructure upon which technological systems operate, the enormous number of drawing lines simply ignores the graphical rules. The encounter between supercomputer, a product of high-technology, and human touch suggests a new potential application of technology.
