Jacobus Philippus de Bergamo (1434-1520) was an Augustinian monk, a chronicler and a biblical scholar, he wrote several early printed books. Supplementum chronicarum, written as a supplement to universal chronicles of the time, shares many of the characteristics of these chronicles. It narrates the history of the whole world from the time of its creation up to the then present day. This type of chronicles are found not only in Medieval Latin Christendom, but in pre-modern cultures of every era and across the world.
