Surinder Singh recalls his harrowing journey by train from Bannu in Pakistan in January 1948, soon after Partition. The train was attacked by mobs from all sides and a majority of the people were killed. Surinder Singh lost his mother and his two and a half year old brother in the ordeal. He, however survived despite receiving 5 bullet injuries.
