Square piece, with the upper corners cut. Plant design in horizontal bands consisting of leaves aligned in different directions in pale pink on a pink background. It is lined with pink fabric using purple backstitching.
The little motifs of spear-shaped leaves facing downwards and upwards in horizontal bands are reminiscent of the intricacy of Persian fabrics of the Renaissance period, while the modern pink is not. It is an example of Mariano Fortuny's many experiments with color and forms in his endeavours to achieve new effects.
