Vase of heavy Swedish crystal made by Simon Gatz and designed by Lawrence A. Steinhardt, US Minister to Sweden. Has large etching of ship forms principal design. Inscribed around top ""President & Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt from Gustaf Adolph & Louise 1938." Etched above the ship are crown symbols, one on the left and three on the right. In blue-painted wood box made to fit the vase. Presented to FDR at Hyde Park in memory of the 1938 visit of the Crown Prince (Gustaf Adolph) and Princess (Louise) of Sweden.
