Sweet Pea Seed Counter by Blake & MacKenzie

A copper, brass and metal seed counter used for packaging Sweet Peas and manufactured by Blake & MacKenzie of Liverpool. The release lever drops 50 sweet pea seeds into a reservoir beneath which are then tipped through the nozzle into a packet. Used by nurserymen Newton & Ward of Richmond in Yorkshire, although originally acquired from Kent, Brydon & Haigh, nurserymen in Darlington, Co. Durham for over 200 years. Gift of Mr Ron Newton.
