Swimming Pool & Gazebo, Gibberd Garden, Harlow

View across the swimming pool to the gazebo in the Gibberd Garden, Marsh Lane, Harlow. The pool was later replaced with a water garden and the thatch on the gazebo redone with a wooden roof. Sir Frederick noted, 'The formal pool is on the main axis. According to my family, the most urgent task was to convert it for swimming...the children grew up and to my joy, came to despise the pool. I was then able to turn it back into a garden pool.'
