Swimming Race, River Torrens

Patriotic Carnival at Gilberton Amateur Swimming Club, 11 March 1912 - River Torrens, Gilberton. Many spectators can be seen on the banks of the river, up the hill from the river and some standing on planks of wood that cross the water. It appears from a splash in the image that someone has just dove in.
