The 44th National Exhibition of Art, 1998
2nd Prize, Silver Medal Award in Painting
The National Exhibition of Art is the oldest national competition stage of Thailand that has been organized constantly until now. It aims to encourage Thai artists to produce painting, sculpture, prints and multimedia works which present their artistic skills. Gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal award-winning works will become the property of Silpakorn University, who reserves the right to promote works in all channels.
Parinya Tantisuk, a National Artist in 2018 in Visual Art (Fine Art), has enhanced his works and shaped them from experience, resulting in fine arts with a combination of various uncommon two-dimensional shapes created from imagination. He composed semi-abstract work in terms of shapes and colors, showcasing positivity and inspiring the admirers of his works which could be interpreted differently, however, within the creator’s symbolic frame.
The artist brought what he had been intrigued with since childhood to communicate and create the art. Two-dimensional shapes’ characters were formed from the impression he had with the shapes and colors of nature, living beings, and religious principles. He also used personal experiences and colors to create art, incorporating spray colors and airbrushes to perfect the gradient colors and shapes in line with what he had imagined.
