In simple lines and semi-industrial production, the São Paulo chair subtly preserves the structure of 17th century Portuguese stools, with a reduced size seat and open legs. The backrest in laminate covered with mahogany leaf fits a slot in the seat; its curvature and inclination seek to offer comfort. It was awarded at the 2nd Design MCB Award. The piece is part of the MCB Collection, and is available for viewing at the long-term exhibition at the Museu da Casa Brasileira called ‘Remains of the Atlantic Forest & MCB Collection’.
