Composition in green and blue tones (predominant), rose, violet, white, orange, gray, earthy, ochre, black and red. Smooth and thick texture in the figures and marked brushstrokes. Composition representing the Foundation of São Paulo - the colonizer, the catechist Jesuit and the colonized. Geometrized areas confuse background and figures leaving enhancement heads, feet and hands. The figures are outlined by thin black lines outline. The scene seems to happen in the middle of a forest, crossed by beams of light. From the left to the right we see: child, standing with her back; beside her, man, standing almost in profile to the right, beard, using kind of plays, short light coat, socks and shoes, holding a staff in his on the right hand. It has in front of Jesuit standing with the profile head to the left, the dark robe, and the on the right arm along the body and the on the left bent by hand at chest height. In the center of the composition, in geometrized area in lighter shades, four figures of workers, and what lies ahead, suggests being crouched, tapping with a hammer holding with his on the left hand, a stake holding with the on the right ; has the face facing forward and suggested facial features. Behind this figure, three more workers, and two only see the profile heads to the left and the third who is standing in front sees beyond the head, hand and on the right foot. These three figures suggest be carrying or pulling some undefined thing. To the right of the composition, another worker, the greater proportions, standing in front, with very legs apart, arms stretched to the right, holding what would be an ax as if to fell a tree. His head almost in profile to the left and slightly inclined trunk also on the left, suggested facial features and feet deliberately disproportionate effort suggesting to the act that is performing.
