Fox's umbrella manufacturer and retailer was established in 1868. The shop was refurbished in 1937 by E Pollard & Co, one of the main shopfitters of the day. It's modern design includes chrome trim, shiny black Vitrolite (opaque glass), red neon lettering and non-reflective glass. Fox's was converted into a wine bar in 2015. The building is listed, Grade II.
