Beyond Comparison

Zhang Huaqing was one of the first overseas students to study art in the 1950s in the Soviet Union. After returning home, he not only created a large number of excellent oil paintings, but also devoted himself to art teaching and became a prestigious art educator. In his later years, he loved to paint flowers. This painting was his sketch through the hotel window adjacent to Sunshine Rock, which set off the tranquil and lofty prospect with the wanton blooming of flowers.
