Tabakobon (tobacco tray)

A tobacco tray made by Shibata Zeshin, a representative painter and lacquer artist in the late Edo and Meiji periods. He could express metal appearance and wood grain using lacquer technique. This tray seems to be made of metal, but actually made of wood.
