Tailcoat

Striped silk with alternating satin and taffeta weave. Long and double-breasted, with a turned-up, V-neck collar with lapel, and straight front panels, curving towards the tail. The front and back panels are cut from one piece: body and tails, concealing a vertical pocket at hip level. It fastens at the front with two sets of buttons, side by side, made of wood and covered in the same fabric. The sleeves are long and narrow, ending in a narrow cuff which is fitted to the wrist with two buttons sewn onto the vertical opening. The back and sleeves are lined with natural linen, and the tails with Batavia twill black lace.
