A scene of the traditional Shinto ritual known as Yokagura. The second dance is called the Uzume no Mai (“The Dance of Uzume”). A humorous dance is performed in front of the cave in which the Shinto goddess of the sun and universe, Amaterasu, was said to have hidden in, as the dance is said to lure the goddess out from the cave.
