This six-legged takhat was used in a chaupal, a public space used by men for leisure activities, council meetings, and community gatherings. It could seat around eight to ten men at a time. Metal rods were placed closely between the wooden frames and seat to form side rails to be used as a backrest. Such takhat with backrest were only recorded at chaupal in Haryana.
