Takhtposh are found in courtyards of houses placed along with charpoys. As a token of respect, takhtposh is offered as a seat to the guests while the hosts sit on the charpoy. This sense of respect is indicated through the perceptions of material hierarchy; one where wood is considered respectable compared to the webbed surface of a charpoy.
