Tall Assaying Crucible

These ceramic flasks were used for assaying. Material would be put in it and melted in a hot oven. The material would melt and the ceramic flask would stay in-tact. This is from the Merker Mine where Ren Willie's father worked. He used them while he was studying at the University of Utah.
