Tamna Sullyeokdo is a book of paintings depicting various events held in 1702 (28th year of the King Sukjong's reign) when Yi Hyeong-sang (1653-1733) as a new governor of Jeju made official tours around the province. The paintings were made by Kim Nam-Gil. The book consists of a map of Jeju drawn on a single page and 39 paintings each of which is attached with a title and brief description of the event depicted in it. A great majority of the paintings, 22 out of 39, were focused on the events and landscapes related with his official tour across the island that took 21 days from October 29 to November 19, 1702. The sights depicted in the paintings include those of a military archery contest, a horse farm, an inspection of tangerines and horses collected to send to the court and others capturing the scenic natural landscapes of Jeju.
