The 1954 photo is part of Huang Tse-hsiu's Zhinan Paradise series, a subset of his "Ripples on the Tamsui River" collection. Although the picture was taken at Muzha's Zhinan Temple, the area is still within the vast Tamsui River basin. Shot from behind the temple, the photo is a bird's eye view of the complex's elaborate, varied rooftop architecture, the plains beyond, and the overlapping mountain chains in the distance. The work is a landscape photo worthy of careful appreciation.
