Tango in the streets | Women's Bridge

The "Women's Bridge" in Argentina refers to the Puente de la Mujer (Spanish for "Woman's Bridge"), an iconic pedestrian bridge located in the modern Puerto Madero district of Buenos Aires. Designed by the renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, it's a striking example of contemporary architecture and a popular landmark.
Opened in 2001, the bridge is notable for its unique, asymmetrical design. It's a rotating footbridge with a single mast that suspends a portion of the bridge, allowing it to swing 90 degrees to permit the passage of ships through Dock 3. Calatrava himself described the design as representing a couple dancing the tango, with the inclined mast symbolizing the man and the curved deck representing the woman.
