This is a photograph of one of the villages of the Tangsas - New Yumchum village in Miao circle of Changlang district. It is a beautiful village surrounded by the Patkai hills covered with forests. This village itself is an extension of the of Namdapha Tiger Reserve. The Tangsa people are simple, hospitable and enjoy their lives within nature. Bamboo is an integral part of their daily chores, and has an overarching utility in the Tangsa lifestyle.
