Tankhuniya (In-built cabinet)

During the course of fieldwork in Rajasthan, a tankhuniya was recorded mainly in the kitchen of any house. An intriguing feature was that most of these cabinets were locked with a padlock. This was because women also stored their jewellery and valuables in the tankhuniya.
