Tanoa (Kumete; Kava bowl)

Tanoa. Round bowl for yaqona (kava) carved from solid kau (wood) of a red/brown colour. Yava i va (four legs) at the base with an additional bito (lug) with a hole drilled through and braided knot of magimagi (coconut sennit) stuck through. Polished, smooth exterior and interior bowl surface. Brown in colour.
