Tanoa. A large deep bowl with four legs and a triangular lug on the underside all carved from solid kau (wood) of a dark brown colour. The bowl has a flat eight-sided rim with engraved decoration in the interior of the kava bowl as well as around the flat eight-sided rim. Eight small pieces of triangular shell inlay on the rim. The engravings on the inner bowl include two Fijian dwellings and two war clubs, while the centre of bowl is left without decoration.
