Tapajós: the fight for the river of life

The federal government of Brazil intends to build five power plants on the Tapajós River in the Pará’s Amazon. The construction will affect more than 120 communities that depend on the river to survive. Some villages will be flooded and others that live upstream and downstream will not be able to continue with the same way of life. Check out some of the statements.
