Tara reveals plankton's extraordinary biodiversity

The results of the Tara Oceans expedition revealed for the first time the huge diversity of planktonic organisms living at depths between 0 and 800 meters. Data from Tara has greatly expanded the inventory of plankton, especially in specific regions such as the Arctic Ocean.
