This Tas, the Torah shield, is made of silver. In the upper part is a Torah crown supported by two lions. In the cartouche is an engraved Hebrew inscription of the donor. The whole object is decorated in the spirit of Rococo, with luxurious ornaments of C volutes, floral and plant motifs and symbols of Jewish identity: a deer lions, the pillars Jachin and Boaz. The object has the repeat assay mark of Lviv, Lemberg, capital of the former Galicia, in the 18th century part of Poland, today in the Ukraine.
