Mt. Tashiro-dake (1,178m) is a dormant volcano located at the northern end of the Tashiro region, near the border between Aomori and Akita Prefectures. It is called the Alaska Garden above the clouds because many alpine plants are in full bloom and it is popular with many climbers.
