Tawallah Valley meteorite

In 1937 a nickel rich iron meteorite with a mass of 76kg was found about 80 kilometres north west of Borroloola, Northern Territory by a Mr Condon. It remained at the Borroloola Police Station for about 18 months. This specimen is the largest of the pieces into which this meteorite was cut. It weighs about 39 kilograms.
