A tea caddy of the nasu type is a bulbous-shaped vessel that resembles an eggplant. It is the highest ranked tea caddy from ancient times and was obtained from China. Its aesthetic is from Chinese arts and works; it is also worthy of belonging to high-class samurai families. The black-lacquered network pattern dominates over the blackish paste, which creates a profound atmosphere.
