This hexagonal tea caddy has a dome lid surmounted by a finial in the form of an acorn.

In the early days of the trade between China and Europe tea extremely expensive. When this beautiful silver tea caddy was made in Canton, tea in Europe cost almost GBP30 (HK$373) a pound (0.45kg) in 2011 prices.
