Team Locavore, local chefs and NESFAS after a successful 2 day event in Shillong

The Locavore was in Shillong earlier this year for a special Celebration of Millets with NESFAS aligned closely with our ongoing Millet Revival Project with Rainmatter Foundation. Over two days, we interacted with indigenous farmers to understand why krai (millets in Khasi) production and consumption has been declining in Meghalaya & brought them together with talented local chefs to create delicious new recipes celebrating Krai for a community feast to showcase the results of our cooking experiments at a conclave hosted by NESFAS
