Teapot

After its borders opened to European and American trade in the mid-19th century, Japan supplied great quantities of porcelain to consumers around the globe. Many pieces, like this handpainted teapot, found their way to the Pacific Northwest and were used by soldiers and their families at Vancouver Barracks.
