Telegram to Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka of Japan.

The telegram announces Ford as the new President of the US. Ford wrote "As I assume the office of President of the United States, I wish as one of my first acts to assure you that I fully appreciate the importance of the close ties between the United States and Japan."
