This model is a so-called inductor telephone. By turning the dynamo, or inductor, the switchboard operator could be contacted. This model was often used in Swiebertje, a popular Dutch television series from the 1960s. The design of this phone was based on an Ericsson model, most likely the AC400. The telephone consists of a small base with bells and connection points, a rectangular box containing a generator and hook contact, a cradle and a handset with a mouthpiece. The device was originally brought into service by several Danish phone companies and remained in use until the 1960s.
