The picture by Marcin Maciejowski takes the form of an educational board, divided into two parts, with tasks for the viewer. On the left side, there is a portrait of Nicolaus Copernicus in a three-quarter profile, according to a quite popular standard representation of the astronomer present in culture and pop culture. Under the portrait, there is an inscription made in a simple, readable font: “1. Tell Me What Was Nicolaus Copernicus’ Profession”. Then, on the right side of the canvas, there is, painted on a white background, a map of Poland as a red, flat area with three points marked in the form of small black circles. Under the map, there is an inscription with the same font as on the left side: “2. Show on the map Toruń, Olsztyn, and Frombork”. [P. Lisowski]
