Tessier (Lafayette) Building 1820. 342, 346, 348 Lafayette St., west (front) and north facade. Considered to be one of the oldest standing structures in Baton Rouge. These townhouse style buildings were constructed by Charles Tessier , the first probate judge of East Baton Rouge Parish. It is said that the Marquis de Lafayette visited Tessier here in 1825.
