Small figurine representing a character squatted with his hands on his knees with a luxurious attire of a frontal band decorated with discs, large circular earflaps, bangles and a three beaded thread necklace. The presence of the shield and arrows that carries in its left arm indicates the war nature of the character represented. At the top of the head is carved the glyph “1 skull” that together with the representation of a black mirror at the right side of the head and the dark color of the stone in which it was made, evoke the God Yayauhqui Tezcatlipoca (“Black smoky mirror”), one of the most fascinating Mexica deities; Creator God, but also a destroyer, omnipresent, patron of wizards and warriors, among other things. The date “1 skull” was the sign of the day of Tezcatlipoca when the seventh mobile celebration took place and the images of this god were decorated with dedication and sacrificed quails and offered food, flowers and perfumes in his honor.Arqlga.
