Shrinathji Swaroop

A pichwai depicting Shrinathji Swaroop, features a large central image of Shrinathji dressed in elaborate jewels and flower garlands, standing against an embroidered floral backdrop. This central panel is set within borders of jewels, meandering vines, cows and roses. The artist's signature may be found in the lower left corner, reading 'Chitrakar (artist) Karodimal/Kajodimal Ratan lal' in Devanagari.

Shrinathji is the tutelary deity of the Vallabhacharya sect. The image replicates the stone statue of Shrinathji at the central sanctorum of the Nathdwara temple.
