The thatched gazebo in the garden of Sir Frederick and Lady Gibberd in Marsh Lane, Harlow, Essex. The gazebo was built by a previous owner and Sir Frederick noted, 'I rehabilitated the Gazebo - made by John Blackshaw and his daughters out of sand and gravel dug up on site. The thatch, a refuge for sparrows, was replaced by a concrete pyramid. John Blackshaw's ingenuity was not just in the design of the Gazebo. He uses it to change levels.'
