The 27th Olympic Games Held in 2000

Two hundred countries, including East Timor, participated in the 27th Olympic Games. As one of the countries, Korea sent 139 athletes to participate in 22 events.
There were a total of 28 events, and a total of 300 gold medals.
At the Sydney Olympics, Taekwondo and Triathlon were selected as official events for the first time. 4 weight classes for male and female for Taekwondo, and male and female events for Triathlon were newly installed.
These are the hogu and head gear used by the athletes at that time. They are imbued with the sweat and tears of the members of the national team.
