Mordanting is the technique of soaking the yarn or fabric in a solution that will help the yarn to hold the colour better. This technique is another unique feature of natural dyeing. Indigo is the only natural colour that does not need the help of a mordant. The mordants used are also naturally found like - Alum, Iron or Myrobolan.
