Painting acquired by the emperor and paid in installments in accordance with the Order of 03.23.1843 , to be placed in the great Throne Room at the City Palace , where it remained until the Proclamation of the Republic. After the death of Empress D. Teresa Cristina and the implementation of the inventory of the family, part of the collection was auctioned and part went to Europe, to the heirs who were there. The screen returns to Brazil , for the initiative of the Imperial Museum, in 1975 , for the celebrations of the six hundred years since the birth of D. Pedro II and finally being exposed in 1981 , in the celebrations of the 140 years of the coronation of D. Pedro II
