The Albert Memorial and Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, Westminster, Greater London

Also known as the Prince Consort National Memorial, the Albert Memorial was created between 1862 and 1875. It commemorates the death of Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria, who died in 1861. It was designed by the architect George Gilbert Scott and sculpted and decorated by numerous Victorian artists, including Thomas Thornycroft and John Henry Foley.

The Royal Albert Hall, a public concert hall, was also built as a memorial to Prince Albert. The foundation stone was laid in 1867 and was officially opened on 29 March 1871. Designed by Captain Francis Fowke and Major-General Henry Scott of the Royal Engineers, it has a red brick and buff terracotta exterior and glazed roof.
