Zilia Sánchez Domínguez is a Cuban artist born in 1926 and established in Puerto Rico since 1970. Her paintings are remarkable for their use of canvas stretched on wooden frames, which evoke female forms and contours with great sensuality. These "erotic topologies" often reference protagonists from ancient mythology, such as Trojans, Amazons and Antigone.
