The scroll reads: "This first painting of Asia was divided into many provinces by the ancients , all united today under the name of Turkey or Natolia that means eastern country. This province has a very temperate climate and it is the most fertile land in the world. Since this painting must be soon redone with better proportions I will not add anything else."
