The Animal Nutrition Building, constructed in 1899, was designed by well-known architect Thomas Fuller. It still stands on the CEF grounds, though it has undergone several additions and renovations since its original construction.

Built to house experimental laboratories (to the strict specifications of the Dominion Chemist from 1866 to 1932, Frank T. Strutt), it was later renamed the Animal Nutrition Laboratory.
